Legacy Fund

In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Providence Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Waits family established a permanent fund in memory of Harold and Callie Waits.

The purpose of the fund is to provide a secure financial foundation from which interest income will be generated and used to sustain and benefit three ministries of the church: Youth Programs, Outreach Ministries and Capital Projects. The Legacy Fund ensures a bright and strong future for 200 more years of Christian ministry.

Everyone can participate! There is no minimum dollar amount required and the names of everyone who participates is added to the Legacy Fund Book and a memorial page is added upon your passing.

All gifts become part of the principal of the fund which will subsequently generate ongoing income for ministry. Only the interest will be used so that someday the interest will be large enough to support more than just three ministries. We invite everyone to be a part of Providence’s future by participating in one of several ways.

1. List Providence as a beneficiary in your Will for a specific amount or percentage of your estate.

2. Add Providence as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy or an investment account.

3. Give a financial gift designated for the Legacy Fund in honor or memory of a loved one.

4. Talk to a member of the Stewardship and Finance Committee about other ways to participate.
